Arts found to up learning ante

A recent study of Colorado high school students found that schools offering more arts instruction have higher reading, writing and science scores, in addition to lower drop out rates. State officials are highlighting the importance of art education in addition to "core curriculum" and will be releasing revised standards for the arts.
