Helping kids break stereotypes

First-graders at the Cambridge Friends School learn about various physical disabilities in an attempt to limit the biases and bullying that result from ignorance. The Cromwell Center for Disabilities Awareness in Portland, Maine has also reached out to third- and fifth-graders. Both programs are part of a growing trend to educate children about being more sensitive to those who may be considered "different."
