NCLB technical panel could be influential

A new committee will advise the Department of Education about the technical issues surrounding the No Child Left Behind Act, which Congress has postponed the reauthorization of until next year.  In the meantime the current standards for testing and accountability will remain in place until the federal education law is amended.
