Athiests group amends suit over school civics program

Cherry Creek School District is facing a lawsuit related to a character-development aspect of its civics curriculum. The Assets program, developed by the Lutheran-based Search Institute, provides a lists of activities that families and students should use in their daily lives to help prevent risky behavior. One of Assets is "Religious Community" defined as students spending at least one hour per week in a religious institution.
