Marisa Saunders is senior research associate at the Institute for Democracy, Education, and Access at UCLA. She co-edited (with Jeannie Oakes) “Beyond Tracking: Multiple Pathways to College, Career, and Civic Participation,” published by Harvard Education Press. Her research focuses on the academic success of underrepresented youth.
